Pros

Higher than average salaries. A challenging work environment.

Cons

Vulnerable to the current M&A slowdown. In many departments, promotion from within isn't encouraged, and sometimes even discouraged. No real career development program in place, (either formally or informally).

Advice to Management

Question others and think things through before making decisions or taking action.

    Pros

The pay is above industry average. They offer an excellent work life balance. It is pretty easy to advance within a year. If senior management likes you enough, you will move up fast.

    Cons

The biggest problem would be the bold discrimination that goes on. Ex. a black female, trilingual with an MBA from a very good school had the same position as an english speaking white male, who dropped out of college his freshman year. The employee handbook states that no senior management can refer individuals for employment, yet a director's high school friend was walked right in. Or if you don't mind having the same position as someone entry level, that clearly lied on his resume, then you have found your match. If favoritism and sexism don't bother you, then Intralinks is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Not all of Senior Management is bad, some of them actually understand that management is supposed to display leadership instead of being a bully. Think twice about the message you send out when you break "corporate rules". A small alarm needs to go off in your head when a female with an MBA has the same position as a male that dropped out of college. Every company has its dirt, but you should at least have the pride to cover it up a bit more.

    Pros

Excellent team to work with. Challenging Saas environment. Highest expectation of work throuhgout, filled with help from management to make sure you get there. Open environment, have had many candid conversations with management at all levels.

    Cons

Sometimes too many cooks in the kitchen.

    Advice to Management

Use the current cash cows as such and invest elsewhere! Be careful with canibalizing the team that you built since inception.
