Pros

Great management, great people and great business

Cons

Sometimes a little hard to get things done, due to the size of the company

    I worked at Intuit full-time

    Pros

A chance to work on products that have actual impact on real people's lives

Some really clever engineers to work with.

    Very good benefits

    Cons

A company driven by business and marketing. Leads to near term thinking (next few quarters) and limited understanding of what it takes to really build excellent products. This has worked out well for many years, but deferred maintenance (on both current products and investing in future vision) may finally be catching up to the business.

Poor product and technical vision, but endless (and increasing) politics and wearying "rah-rah" marketing-speak.

Salaries are just okay and very poor stock incentive.

Much work moving off shore...expect that to continue.

    Advice to Management

Listen. Really listen, to the front line employee. Then think creatively about how to face the future while continually engaging your front-line people...not just your ambitious middle management.

I have been working at Intuit full-time

    Pros

Good pay, Good benefits, Good culture

    Cons

Getting permanent residency/Green card in EB2 is so difficult through Intuit. They file it in EB3 even though you have Masters + 5 yrs experience. They are not practical. They don't understand the means, reason and effort in getting a Masters degree from the US.

They will lose good engineers to other companies if they don't start sponsoring employees in EB-2 category, because all the other companies are already doing everything they can to retain good engineers.

    Advice to Management

Please sponsor green card in EB-2 category to people who have Masters + n years of experience.
