I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good engineers to work with, most of the people you work "with" are smart and good, but ones you work "for" :( Naa
    Good Benefits
    Nice campus
Good progression if you are able to find power centers and satisfy their ego

    Cons

Lot of partiality, where internal job transfer or promotion happen just die to relationship and sometime good candidates does not go anywhere because some architect/manager/dir does not like them because that candidate sometime did not agree with them.

    Advice to Management

Find all bad manager/architect and leader and send them home, otherwise good engineers will be going somewhere else. Try 360 feedback from engineers on their manager/architects/dir.
Define a good vision and stop buying/selling BUs. Focus on your core strengths and do not loss global battle.
    Hire/promote more strong engineering leader.
