I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Good salary, good benefits, nice facilities. Most employees work really hard every day. Systems available to employees are good quality. Product marketshare is outstanding.

Cons

Management from India does not tolerate alternative lifestyles, even in California. Helpdesk teams are located in Mexico City with hard to understand accents. Teams in Bangalore, India are difficult to communicate with mainly because of the time difference, causing delays. Cultural differences cause palatable strife.

Advice to Management

Stop sending American jobs overseas. Practice celebrating diversity rather than just talking about it.

    Cons

Safe, great ideas get diluted to get consensus, lack of bold vision within mid level leadership, challenged to think short and long

    Advice to Management

Spend less time telling the team how and more time telling the team the what (vision)

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good company, they try to walk the talk and do it better than most.

    Cons

Pay, career advancement, managers not receptive to individual and team feedback. Gather the input and ignore it or hear something they want to hear instead.

    Advice to Management

More coaching and holding accountable the front line managers to developing their people.
