I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Front line employees can influence the product direction. Very customer focused. Cares about employees.

Cons

Intuit is in technology time-warp. Lags behind rest of the software industry by 15-20 years. Very difficult to get promoted internally. Very very centralized decision making. Employees have decision making authority OR accountability.

Advice to Management

Grow employees to take on bigger roles. Hiring from outside all the time, demotivates employees from stretching themselves.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Smart people to work with, excellent facilities and benefits

    Cons

Very little accountability means overachievers often get overworked. Too much focus on whether or not you upset people in the process of getting results creates a highly political environment that can make people become manipulative or passive-aggressive. Front line management are often not trained well, so their teams' career growth can suffer.

    Advice to Management

Focus on pleasing customers is great, but start focusing more on the capabilities of your managers to inspire employees and help them guide their careers. Measure success for EVERYONE and hold them accountable more often than just once a year when the employee survey results come out.
