I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good pay, opportunity to learn, good work / life balance, good career management

Cons

It is a corporate environment so you get some of the downsides that go with that, like bureaucracy

Advice to Management

Listen to your people at the bottom, the ones who do the work. The middle layer of management does not always represent the people below them.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Very good pay and benefits
    Mostly great people
    Good facilities and perks

    Cons

Politics are killing everybody - everyone is angling for themselves.
Senior execs talk about, and may even have, shared goals, but individual teams bicker about priorities.
Terrible place to be a manager - lots of responsibility, accountability, zero authority.
So many many many many meetings.
So so so so so much email.
Between email and meetings, you're working all the time without doing any work.

    Advice to Management

Empower managers to manage - don't just leave it to VPs and Directors.
Do fewer things so people aren't stuck in meetings and email hell.
