Pros

The culture feels like a college campus where you get to work with lots of smart people who also happen to be nice. Work/life balance is good. The health and wellness benefits are good, employee stock purchase program and a 401K with matching contribution from company is a nice "bonus" to help with building your financial savings.

Cons

Advancing your career at Intuit can be a challenge. At least in my group, people are judged very quickly once they join the company. Once the managers have decided what level you're capable of achieving, that's where you stay. If you push for a promotion, there's lots of "let's wait and see" and then those promotions rarely happen.

Advice to Management

Stay vigilant when it comes to leading with strong ethics and values and continually emphasizing those areas with employees. Employees living out the company values is a big reason the company is successful.

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Lots of career growth opportunity.
Company really invests in the employees.
A change to do real enterprise level work.
    Great benefits and flexibility
    Good people to work with.

    Cons

Intuit overall is great but not all leaders in all business units follow the Intuit way. This leaves you watching other Intuit people get to operate one way while you may be stuck doing things completely different.

Intuit still uses the stacked ranking system for performance reviews. This means if you end up working with a group where all are very talented and productive you or someone will get a lesser review because "there's just no way everyone can be that good"

    Advice to Management

dropped stacked ranking. it does not work. Pay more attention to VOE. intuit is a great place to work so don't think that low ratings in ares are ok just because they are above industry norms. If industry norms were ok intuit wouldn't be great.
