I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Intuit does give you knowledge and training that can prove helpful throughout your career, Pays good as well

    Cons

Opportunity for advancement is based on how good you are at butt-kissing not at your actual job. The company has said their first priority has been the people meaning their employees however this is only true when its convenient. I currently work for this company and have put in many years of hard work for this company, have been supporting many departments basically doing the work of 5 people but only compensated for the work of one. Have been promised that this would change soon just give it time, then yesterday Intuit announced they would be eliminating 785 positions, mine being one of them. They work you to the bone and promise it will all payoff and then they lay you off. i feel taken advantage off and i feel as though Intuit saying their employees comes first is just a front when really no matter how hard you work you are just another number not a actual valued employee. I used to be proud of this company and to say I worked for Intuit, but they are just becoming another call center environment like Afni, Apac etc that makes poor management decisions and lets the employees pay for it rather than the management.

    Advice to Management

Go bac to the intuit you were 10 years ago, The intuit people were proud to work for and felt like the "valued shareholders" you so commonly like to refer to your employees as. Stop making rash decisions hoping for better outcomes and not thinking them through because eventually all these people you are continuously laying off will be your potential customers and you will be the last company they recommend for accounting software and business needs.
