Pros

Most of the people are very dedicated and mission oriented. It feels good to be a part of something that saves lives.

Cons

The senior leadership has horrible management skills and creates a very dysfunctional corporate culture. It's hard to move up because a lot of managers are "lifers",

Advice to Management

Make decisions without trying to please everyone. Don't ask for input if you already have a plan and don't intend to alter it. It creates lots of bad blood.

    Pros

You really feel you are contributing to others' wellbeing and that your colleagues are committed to the work you do.

    Cons

Some of the other staff members get a little carried away with their pro-company attitude and the objectives of the organization...lose a little focus.

    Advice to Management

    Listen more to employees' input.

I have been working at Ipas full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

New Leadership (Chiefs) is rationale, empowering, and mission/vision-focused. They are working to improve Ipas' cost-effectiveness and therefore increase our global impact. Change can be difficult and the road rough, but the vision is sound. The changes they are bringing are LONG long overdue and have improved staff engagement and productivity in many areas of the org.

    Cons

Still some growing pains to iron out but not unexpected.

    Advice to Management

    Keep moving forward.
