Approves of CEO

Pros

It's a company that is changing a lot in a very short time. A good moment to be in the company to learn about the strategic thinking behind a structural change.

Cons

Poor communication with the employees because the future of the company is not clear.

Advice to Management

Allow more communication with the employees to give them the opportunity to participate more actively in the changes that the corporation is going thru.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Although the benefits package is good, salaries are lagging with industry comparable companies. Also, the business model is changing, but the company feverishly continues to focus on "a box on the shelf and a tape in the slot." Digital is the future, so its surprising that Mr. Reese decided to forego that path.

    Cons

Its interesting to see that while the company's core beliefs are espoused constantly, posted in every location, and talked about ad nauseum, they are not really taken to heart.

    Advice to Management

While not touching the sacred cow (recurring revenue stream), the company should also focus on some forward thinking technologies to be pertinent in the near-term future. Otherwise, 5 years from now after its sold 20 more Norht American buildings, it will wonder where have all the boxes gone?

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The only pro I can think that would be in a good light would be the selling to Autonomy.
Good thing for them to get out of the software part, they have no clue.
Keep collecting those boxes, that about the level you are at.

    Cons

    Bad Bad Bad management
    Really Bad management
    No training
They use the fact that most of there work force are truck drivers and that's why the benefits are so bad.

    Advice to Management

Your not management, how did you get your jobs? It is really a shame that the folks who make your company money are not given the benefits they should get.
