I have been working at J. C. Penney full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

The low cost of living in Dallas makes this an appealing choice for those interested in a retail career. The new CEO is fearless and driven with regard to changing the retail landscape. Decent work life balance depending on the department.

Cons

An uncertain future due to radical new direction. The new management team is inexperienced and unproven in this space. Poor sales trends may cause many initiatives to be pushed out or canceled. Benefit costs are extremely high and with limited choices.

Advice to Management

Listen to the customer, don't assume you know what they want.
