I worked at J. C. Penney full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Interacting with new people, assisting customers were enjoyable, the lunch breaks were reasonable and nice, and the Department managers were nice.

Cons

for JCPenney to be one of the retail giants, the pay rate was only 30 cents above the poverty line. Management was unorganized, the store manager was rarely around. for the back-breaking work that you have to do, it was not worth the 7.50 earned per hour. Overnight work was unpredictable, and so was the scheduling.

    I worked at J. C. Penney part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

working at JCP is pretty fun. flexible hours. friendly management. training was made fun and simple.

    Cons

Being on your feet all day can take a toll. They expect you to wear only certain colors so you may have to invest in new clothes.

    Advice to Management

Learn to value your dependable employees. Hard workers are hard to find and a nice word of praise would go a long way.

    I worked at J. C. Penney part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They offer advanced training with paid time while training which is good.

    Cons

The products they use arent the best

    Advice to Management

Use better products because the products they used were all over the place using all different types of products. I would use no more than two lines and sell only two lines either upscale or midrange or discount products but having every line isnt good for the salon it is however good for the store because they get sales from all of the products but to keep on the professional level just a couple of lines would be better.
