      Pros

      Working with amazing women with years of retail experience. Customers are very loyal. Fairly stable business results. High quality product with design details not found everywhere.

      Cons

      Senior leadership isn't turning the mirror on themselves for bad decisions. Business is steadily decreasing. Company recently reported lower than anticipated earnings and the stock dropped 60%. The only communication to the store level was a reminder of policy on how to respond to requests from media etc. No explanation or plan for turnaround. Conference call for senior leaders to discuss but no stores. Stores are...

      Advice to Management

      Talk to the stores and ask for feedback. The feedback is there if you are willing to listen and not retaliate. It has to be an open, safe environment. Stop cutting payroll or expecting the store managers to make up the difference. Managers are working hard and focusing on maximizing every minute. Business planning and merchandising store has to get done. Doing these things during open hours takes us away from customers....
