I have been working at J.P. Morgan as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

The pay is above average and the people are overall good. Great name to put on a resume as well.

Cons

Work hours can be tenuous at times. Also, they are usually very busy and can't find time to help when needed.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work

I worked at J.P. Morgan as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great number of contacts
    Good people
    Young crowd

    Cons

Too many hours for not enough pay. Benefit package is average at best. Location is in undesirable management. Management doesn't utilize its human capital well. Extremely high turnover rate. Poor training system. 3,000 employees at this location and no gym.

    Advice to Management

If you invest more in your employees you will get more out of them.

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule (depending on your department and manager), okay benefits, good 401K plan, and free banking products. Overall pros will depend on the department and manager.

    Cons

Pay ok, but not up to par with other national banks. Bonus and promotions are very political. Workforce was cut in the downturn and now most departments believe they can perform at that same staffing level. More work with less staff.

    Advice to Management

Pay for performance, not because annual bonus/salary is the same as in the past. Staff departments as work loads permit.
