I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Employee perks/benefits are decent
Good name to have on resume

    Cons

No room for growth/ promotion opportunities non-existant
Very poor management - no care taken in communicating/encouraging employees
No logic to hiring/what level new hires are brought in at (i.e. new hires with little experience brought in at a higher level than existing employees with years of experience)
Very low morale/ low level of professionalism
Workload is huge and broken down to the point where you are just doing one task over and over as part of an assembly line
Technology is behind compared to other firms
Jersey City office feels very isolated from New York

    Advice to Management

Career development for employees does not happen by having them fill out an online form listing goals for the year. Development happens when you encourage employees and help them attain those goals and move forward - and that makes management look good.
