    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits, if you get a good manager you will enjoy your job. The facility is decent with a cafeteria but overpriced. Good retirement benefits.

    Cons

Management is very clickish and bureacratic. If you do not kiss the butt of the right person you will get no where in the company. Often times job postings are posted at one grade level, but once you apply they downgrade the job level, therefore there is no upward mobility, at least in pay; always a lateral move. Micro management runs rapint, employees are not respected enough to take ownership of their work. Recognition is cheap an unmeaningful, no real rewards or acknowledgement are given when it comes time for reveiws no matter how many kudos you rack up. I would strongly recommend not to work for this company, you are treated as just another number.

    Advice to Management

Management plays favorites and too worried about their own jobs to listen to their employees in the trenches. Too many chiefs, not enough indians. Stop being so bureacratic and do what is right for your employees and your department.
