Pros

Opportunities for career progression. Enormous brand, good to be had in a CV

Cons

You need o know how to play the political game to a certain extend, loads of good people, but loads of incompetent people with a VP title as well.

Advice to Management

Communicate better with their teams, engage them better, empower them and reward their employees better.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

The pay is better than other companies in the area. It's a beautiful work campus. The company encourages job movement, which means you get the opportunity to move on to another job or project team without fear of reprisal

    Cons

Management expects us to work a minimum of 45-50 hrs/wk. Never have I worked for a company that expected this as the norm.

    Advice to Management

Realize not everyone has the time to devote to working 45-50+ hrs per week. While I applaud the fact that you are limiting downsizing, there are some who thrive on this type of environment, and some who actually perform worse.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

There were very good career growth opportunities. The people were all smart and motivated and seemed to have broad industry knowledge. The salary was great and the benefits were also great

    Cons

The firm is too big so hard work is not always recognized. You can get lost in the company if you dont persist to better your own career.

    Advice to Management

If I were to suggest one thing to senior management at JPM, I would suggest that you make sure management is giving accurate reviews and hard work is being recognized in the right places.
