Positive Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Largest Bank. Great Benefits. Great Culture (Very dependent on branch). Great opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Ability to build very strong relationships with clients and co-workers.

Cons

Some managers are very old fashioned. Favoritism is evident. For a "financial institution" there are too many unprofessional employees AND not enough employees that care about the financial well being of clients.

Advice to Management

Be proactive in developing your workforce on the retail side. Don't be "cheap" with time or money. Invest in stronger training programs that last longer than 3 days. Live your values, help clients with difficult situations. The rule book shouldn't be the only answer, being flexible when necessary can make a world of difference.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

staff is very supportive of your current role within the company.

    Cons

Senior management only cares about covering their own tails.

    Advice to Management

i do not believe that an employees career development should lie solely in the hands of management. we control our own paths within the company telling me otherwise is why i no longer work for them. I control my own future. Not one opinionated manager who didnt want me to leave their department.
