Doesn't Recommend
No opinion of CEO

I worked at Jefferies & Company full-time (More than a year)

Pros

-Serves as a good "boot camp" for people new to sell side
-You will appreciate all future jobs much more
-You learn the "red flags" of a work environment
-Decent resume-builder

Cons

-Unending hours, not great pay under senior level
-Absolutely no regard whatsoever for employees as human beings. Actually not exaggerating.
-Zero, and I mean zero, HR supervision. Picture 1960's.
-All the negatives of unvestment banking lifestyle but not the pay

Advice to Management

Care a little more about the people who are helping you make your money, even if it's just a "cost of doing business" like research. Or don't , but be honest about it.

I worked at Jefferies & Company as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Awesome exposure, responsibility and visibility. Fantastic experience. Unparalleled live deal experience for a 10 week summer intern, was able to make a noticeable impact in the office and was recognized accordingly for my work.

    Cons

Like any IB job, no personal life, many 90+ hour weeks etc.
