Pros

The ONLY decent reason to sell for the Jim Click organization is the fact that they sell so many manufacturers under "one roof".

Cons

This is the finest example of how bigger is not always better. The sheer scale of their efforts leaves nothing but a pile of bureaucracy to wade through, mis-management, inefficiency and ultimately...crap pay

Advice to Management

Hire passionate and COMPETENT GM's and GSM's who know how to handshake within the New/Used departments and allow them to function as autonomously as possible.

    Advice to Management

Selling cars is hard enough, do not make it harder. Negative reinforcement does not work for most people. Do not lie to your sales people.

    Pros

New and remodeled facilities, large auto inventory/selection, okay benefits, great newspaper advertising, can sell from eleven new car brands and in house training program.

    Cons

Unskilled Managers with no training, too much transferring of Manager between stores, old style auto sales approach, must work 50 to 60 hours/ 6 days a week to achieve okay income, unneeded and high cost add-ons added to every vehicle, customers are treated like idiots with too much high pressure, if they don't buy then piss'em off when they leave.

    Advice to Management

Managers pay should mirror salesperson's sales/commission pay structure to get everyone on the same page. Not a good employee environment when a Manager can make a bonus by cutting everyone else's pay!
