I worked at Joerns Healthcare full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Had a great boss and coworkers. Manager treated you like a human being and was kind, which motivated you to perform to high standards in return. You get what you receive, my Co workers and I would go the extra mile because we knew it would reflect well on him. My manager had one of the lowest turn over rates in the country, the proof is in the pudding. Good benefits, decent pay. It used to feel great to be a part of a team.

    Cons

Being on call but to be fair this is what “you sign up for” I worked here for 8 years, The first two years were pretty great. Developed a lot of great skills, felt like a part of a team. Somewhere along the line my former managers superior completely turned the tables and in my opinion started making horrendous decisions in how he wanted his field managers to run things. Was a very sad thing to see, he micro managed everything to a level where my coworkers and I felt like we were walking on eggshells anytime we were near him. All upper management in this company tries to find what your doing wrong instead of trying to boost morale and are impossible to please. They will mentally rape you with their unrealistic expectations. When I started most of the field managers were approachable and actually a delight to work for, but eventually the upper management beat them down enough to conform to their ways and lose all people skills they once had. Accounts were lost due to upper management not being in tune with what was actually going on in the field, only with what they “expected” to happen in the field. Again always unrealistic expectations and refused to offer necessary resources.
