I have been working at John Deere full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Compensation and benefits are competitive. Work culture is pretty laid back, the company listens to employees and make improvement based on employee surveys.
Cons
Some locations, especially in the Midwest, are hard to live in if you're not from the Midwest. Iowa is an acquired taste.
Advice to Management
Be cognizant of the changing working habits of younger engineers. Work styles and culture are different than what older generations are used to. Recognize and encourage out-of-the-box thinking.
