Pros

Johns Hopkins is a conglomerate of research, healthcare, and university. There are so many diverse opportunities, and excellent benefits in working with the supportive and powerful community here.

Cons

Because the organization is so enormous, there is a lot of bureaucracy, paperwork, and often roundabout ways to get things done.

Advice to Management

Come down once in a while to a student group event. Not the big ones like President's Day of Service or Spring Fair, but show up to something small, like SASH's Satrangi last Thursday, or a Mock Trial tournament. It makes you more of a person rather than a figurehead. This not only goes for the main leadership like the president but all the deans, assistant deans, etc, etc.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing for new and better technology. As a leader in the areas of your expertise, the tech team is just as important as field workers.
