I have been working at Johns Hopkins University full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

There are so many opportunites at Hopkins to help you to succeed in a career as a research scientist. If you take an active approach and take advantage of these opportunities you can become 1st author on multiple publications, present or attend numerous seminars, join postdoc associations, take classes and of course have working at the world famous Johns Hopkins on your CV.

Cons

Unfortunately, your success as a postdoctoral fellow depend on whether your mentor takes an active part of your research or if your mentor spends anytime in lab. My mentor was an MD and spent a lot of his time with patients. I barely saw him once a month and had to do a lot of things myself. Also, Hopkins, like any other place, is shortage of funding. If you work here, just be weary of that.

    Cons

Might spend time on two different campuses. Downtown campus isn't in the greatest area.

Engaging co-workers, excellent benefits, competitive salary.

    Cons

Depending on where you are located, Baltimore can be a dangerous city. However, JHU is helpful and will have security assist you.
