I have been working at Johnson & Johnson full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

There are lots of growth opportunities.

Cons

Not very innovative. Lots of tenured, highly paid employees, just riding out into retirement.

Advice to Management

"IF" you want to be recognized as innovative and an industry leader---re-set expectation of the tenured and seek new blood, new ideas, open to innovation, and pay for performance.

    Pros

Developed better written and oral communication skills.
Gained greater knowledge of cost savings strategies.
Developed expertise in working in a heavily matrixed environment.
Idea place to start a career, gain vauable experience and then move to another company.

    Cons

Strategies and goals of one department/divsion did not always align with those of the others.
Adherence to common processes was difficult to attain due to lack of alignment with goals.
Communication between top tier management was lacking while lower level communication was better.

    Advice to Management

Drive growth and profit through aquisition and new products rather than cost cutting and reducing resources

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Johnson & Johnson as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Big company with lots of money; friendly and helpful people; good benefits; really cares about delivering good products to customers

    Cons

People are not as active and involved; lower pay for co-ops/interns in my year; co-op/intern program is not as well organized as other companies at the same level (they should put more time and efforts into making the program better); does not give project details after co-ops/interns accept the offers.
