I worked at Johnson & Johnson as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Very organized company; training was very good and thorough.
I liked how big the company is and J&J is very good at making sure the work is not too much for a small group of people to handle. End of the month is a bit hectic at times but again, the work load is always doable.

Noramco--Nicest people I've ever worked with. They are all very easy to approach. Huge company with a smaller company feel!

Cons

I didn't work there very long but many of the people seemed very happy. The only thing negative was how quiet the department was. But this isn't very unusual in finance/accounting work. Also, this means work was getting done :)

I worked at Johnson & Johnson as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent resources to use. People are willing and helpful to teach you, and give you time to grow. Management is also easy to access and will help you answer questions.

    Cons

There is no guarantee for a job. This is not a company that will create a job for you like some other companies out there.

I worked at Johnson & Johnson full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They paid well. My salary as a Co-Op was far above anything my peers were getting at their internships.

    Cons

Weren't prepared to give me work in my position.

Immediate supervisor was extremely patronizing, condescending, unable to deal with a subordinate in a respectful manner.

Lack of a specific function. So I just sat around a lot doing nothing all day.

    Advice to Management

Watch out for who you are promoting into management. Just because someone has good work and can get their job done doesn't mean they deserve a promotion after 3+ years.
