    Could Have Been Great, But...

    Pros

*Wonderful, intelligent manager (don't get too excited, this is not the norm here). *My manager's manager is also amazing. These are motivated, intelligent, skilled managers. *Robust system could be useful if only the organization got its act together. *Has potential, if you are willing to weather out the terrible cultural storm.

    Cons

They'll tell you that the culture is "J&J Nice". What that they don't tell you is that J&J Nice is code for "Passive-Aggressive" and no one is willing to be direct about the issues, small or big. They also have a "Credo" They say "change is slow", but it's only slow because managers are more interested in talking incessantly about the prospect of change. Good organization if you like to cruise (if that's your thing). At best, it's frustrating for those who can see the potential in turning a ho-hum sub-division into something great. If you're a "high performer" beware... this is not the place for you. Most managers are uninterested in being leaders (or actively manage their teams), as a result, bad behavior reigns freely with no one willing to call it out. People are doing their own thing at all times, it also includes protecting their "free time" (IE. Not everyone is busy). Accountability and follow up throughout the org. is non-existent. Processes in place are mere suggestions. Confused roles. Deadlines can be heard whooshing past on the daily.
