I have been working at Johnson & Johnson as a contractor

    Pros

At J&J, benefits are great. Even as a contracted employee I had access to an on-campus gym, was paid fairly and always reimbursed for my expenses. Regular employees have good health insurance, receive a yearly bonus and even have access to on-site daycare services. J&J also is very good about talent development and encouraging people to move both vertically and horizontally between the many operating companies they own. It is common for people to spend their entire careers at J&J, hopping from one company to another.

    Cons

Always reorganizing and can be stuck in traditional ways of doing things. Although talent development is championed, it can be difficult for lower level employees to move up in the business, due to a lack of entry-level positions.

    Advice to Management

Invest in young talent -- they are the future!
