I worked at Jones Knowles Ritchie full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Every person employed here seems to be more creatively talented and hard-working than the next and try their very best to mentor & build up their peers. Everyone truly enjoys working with one another & is open to any ideas/comments/suggestions. The new Managing Director is making huge strides to make sure the process is being adhered to.

    Cons

There aren't clearly defined teams amongst the designers at the moment, but this is something leadership is looking into. Sometimes it might seem like growing pains, but I have no doubt the Creative Directors & Managing Director won't be able to set the entire studio up for success within the first few months of 2019.

I worked at Jones Knowles Ritchie for less than a year

    Pros

From the top down there are no egos. Everyone is a collective that share a commonality in being world class. The upper mgmt speaks directly to all the employees the same and is transparent about their direction and expectations. They take great pride in presentation and value awards because ultimately it’s a Medal of Honor within the industry. Heavy attention to detail yet they champion the ideas. Nothing is sacrificed in the production or execution stages. From a cultural standpoint, almost everyday I was there they held some form of office celebration, moral boost, meditative or educational seminar. The office space is as comfortable as any, never had to ask for a thing. They have a pechakucha weekly with everyone’s involvement (not just for show). Everyone is talented, not just within the creative crowd, and cares about their work. There’s just an energy and buzz to produce top level work with no complacency.

    Cons

In theory the magnet wall for critiquing work seems perfect-Operational nightmare. :) give yourself extra time to hang work and beware of the flying magnet bullets. Not much negative to be said here. The cereals they generously provide for breakfast are a little sugary???

I worked at Jones Knowles Ritchie full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The job grooms you to be very buttoned up and pushes your skills in client services and design. Co-workers are lovely.

    Cons

You'll work long hours with little recognition. The company has growing pains, which will normally result in you working 10-12 hour work days with no additional monetary incentives (bonuses, etc).
