Everything is a con. Creatively, be prepared to be called "pedestrian" and have your ideas compared to those of a child. The founders are complete micromanages, not allowing the people they hire to flourish. Every project seems to be a fire drill, last minute changes from management, scrambling to get it together. Be prepared for many many sleepless nights, afternoon meltdowns and a couple of tears.
During my tenure at Juliska, there have been so many people who have come and gone. Some people didn't fit into the mold, but many have gone on to create their own companies/stores. It's sad to see so many creative, driven individuals pass through instead of trying to keep them and help grow Juliska. It's discouraging for employees to see such great talent get wasted.
Those who are allured by the travel opportunities, business trips consist of 5am flights to save money, 12-16 hour work days, and fast food. There is nothing glamorous at all about this company. Don't let the fresh cut flowers fool you!!!
