I worked at Juniper Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Juniper as a whole has a pretty decent reputation, and lots of engineers who enjoy their work and their technologies. Very engineer-centric, which is good if you're an IC...

    Cons

...and bad if you're a manager responsible for budget, schedule and features but with no control over the technical decisions that make or break those commitments (which are in the hands of the engineers).

    Advice to Management

The separation of technical and management decision-making, in at least some BUs, has become a significant impediment to delivering product. And "one big JUNOS" has, I fear, given everyone the power to say NO to an idea, when no one has the power to say YES.
