I have been working at Juniper Networks full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Strong market presence means JNPR is not going away overnight; stable employer with great technology and passionate customers who love JunOS; decent forward vision on hardware platforms; spin own silicon which is key differentiator

Cons

Keep killing products after spending millions on R&D; sales vision lacks focus; understaffed in key areas means few folks do most of the heavy lifting; executive staff in disarray

Advice to Management

Figure out what type of company you want to be, invest smartly, and stay on the path

I have been working at Juniper Networks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Money and the fellow work horses.

    Cons

Top level leadership has blinders on, HR does what manager want, Manager hire one or two work horse. Too much fat creating jobs for friends from with no back round or experience to be your manager. Does anyone take ethics in college anymore?

    Advice to Management

Management do you know how hard it is explaining Engineering to someone that has no clue and a high school diploma and that is only concerned with pleasing you? The Army of Yes men is killing this company. The exodus is on!`1
Advice to share holders please find a CEO like Yahoo! Someone with B@!!s and knows what they are doing.

    Pros

If you're in one of the main business units people will stay out of your way to get things done.

    Cons

If you're not working on something that goes directly to revenue you will be messed with.

    Advice to Management

Think about your actual businesses, then rationalize your organization around that. Also, kill some old product lines.
