Former Employee, more than 3 years

Constant re-organization, real-estate consolidation, looming layoffs, poor management and product direction

    Pros

Pays well, good benefits, somewhat empowered. Good facilities and tools

    Cons

PLM did not know the business and could not make decisions, indecisiveness led to wasted efforts and was late to market. New CEO is chopping the business. Tons of wasted resources on SW architectures that were scrapped at the expense of programs with viable business. Poor management, conviction and execution.

    Pros

Leadership is very focused on work/life balance and maintaining a strong culture. The products have never been more relevant to the market and the company is taking market share from competition. This makes for a very energetic work environment. You can literally feel the momentum

    Cons

The company is not as well known in the industry as other vendors, and competing with the FAANG companies in bay area for perks.

Fantastic work-life balance. Elevated my career by leaps and bounds.

    Pros

    • Work-life balance is better than advertised. I probably take more PTO than most, but it leaves me feeling very recharged. • Worked on some career-changing projects with plenty more on the horizon. • Incredible company culture. These aren't just my colleagues, they're my friends. We support one and other. • A for-real flat corporate structure. Feel like I could email my boss's boss to ask about his coffee preferences. • Feeling good long-term. I'm a self-admitted job-hopper. But I see myself being here into the future.

    Cons

    • Very, very old-school approach to promotions and raises. Feels challenging, even for those who know how to advocate for ones's self and can show immediate business impact. • Some amateurism in marketing disciplines. Feel very much like I'm reviewing the basics with people who should be experts. Much of the work here is education on best practices.
