Pros
Flexible work schedule! Their really understand of family, emergencies, and time off being sick. The company also tends to work with your school schedule and even will give you up to 500 dollars toward tuition if you’re going to school toward engineering/ Auto Cad / Survey. They give you paid time for jury duty. Your immediate “Project Manager” is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and very easygoing, but they don’t have any actual power. You can ask for more money if you feel you deserve more. Raises are always in dollars amounts which is very nice. Free life insurance policy!
Cons
The partners are extremely out of touch with the inner workings of the office. They make rashly decisions that often make things harder for the employees left behind. The partners often feel the need to assertive which often just cause paranoia and fear. The partners are the worst part of your job. The Vice President, is the worst, he just believe whatever he wants without fact or reason. He often reminds everyone he’s been there for 30 years and people “should jump for him”. He deeply enjoys yelling. The health care for individuals is very expensive. It’s like whack-a-mole, someone is gone every week that you never see coming. The leaving process is very upsetting and embarrassing. Even if you quit with notice, you’re treated like a criminal. You’re not allowed to tell anyone, and you are still stood over and watched as you pack your belonging. The office is very dusty, and cleaning service doesn’t do a great job. I’ve seen the company do thru a couple cleaning companies, but it always ends up the same way. Also, if you are a person of color, you’re given less opportunities and receive less chances then someone who is of Europe’s dissent. Also, the field personnel typically doesn’t get included in office event, but they’re left cold pizza.
