No opinion of CEO

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good atmosphere to grow within Big 4 public accounting. Very good training and development.

Cons

Way too much focus on utilization and performance metrics that have little to do with the work

Advice to Management

Realize you can judge people by more than the raw numbers

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

the work is stimulating and you are always learning something new. There is a great diversity in the clients we serve. As a result we are exposed to many different business scenarios

    Cons

The workload can be rather large at times, and the hours can also be long. Work life balance can be very difficult to maintain during busier times of the year.

I worked at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The experience of working for one of the "Big 4" and being able to put that on a resume (makes other companies drool when they see that on paper, for whatever reason(s)). 5 weeks vacation.

    Cons

Oh where do I even begin...the long hours, no such thing as "work-life balance", you have ZERO life outside of work between the months of January and March, very little comradery between you and your co-workers, and you might unfortunately get stuck with a PML, which is basically your boss, who really doesn't commit any time or effort in helping you develop.

    Advice to Management

To the partners, get more involved in your associates lives!!! This felt like one of the most stressful times in my life and I had no turn to.
