I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

More work-life balance than any other auditing firm and good exposure with variety of client industry.

Cons

Office culture, office politics and not enough recognation from senior management.

Advice to Management

Please recognize the hardwork for the team members, not only from like and dislike.

  1. "Great learning experience"

I worked at KPMG as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Unlimited learning potential as projects are extremely diverse. Opportunities to work with different managers on different projects. Good for traveling and doing primary research

    Cons

Hours can become lengthy, although that seems to be generic across consulting firms. Senior staff could treat their juniors with a little more respect and warmth.

    Advice to Management

Generally the work culture was great, only thing I would say is there isn't any harm in being a bit friendly with those less senior than you.

  2. "KPMG Consulting provides great experience, though performance not exactly on par with its Audit department"

I have been working at KPMG as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The office culture is friendly and considerable engagement in the project (mostly research) as an intern. Paid internship in an economy where stipends are difficult to come across

    Cons

Long hours, pressure from narrow deadlines, disagreement and friction between interacting departments, some unreasonable assignments based on what information is desired from the branch above

    Advice to Management

Choose more scalable projects as opposed to mergers and acquisitions between firms whose balance sheets and operations are not too compatible. If assigning unreasonable projects, please consider giving appropriate deadlines.
