I worked at Kaiser Permanente as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

As an intern I not only was paid very well but also had full benefits. I worked there for a couple months over the summer and every week there was an intern event to include all of the interns in the community and to connect with others. I was hired at the Aurora location but lived in Fort Collins (1 hour and 30 minute drive with no traffic). My boss was very understanding with how tough that commute could be so I was able to work at home 3-4 days a week. I was given a project for the summer and instead of hovering and making sure I got it done my boss just handed it over and trusted I was going to complete it. Over all I had a GREAT experience as an intern at Kaiser. Totally worth it and extremely happy I did it.

Cons

Kaiser Colorado was going through a lot of changes during the time I was there so it made for a little bit of drama. Other than that I can't complain about anything.

I have been working at Kaiser Permanente full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits along with opportunity to move around in company

    Cons

Benefits might change depending on current union contracts and whether you like it or not will depend on management and work environment

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to find ways to eliminate the union and cut employee pay and benefits. Focus on creating the best healthcare in the industry versus finding ways to get richer
