No opinion of CEO

I worked at Kaiser Permanente as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

Non stressful. Clock in your hours and then the moment your 8 hrs is up-hit the door enjoy the rest of your personal time. You can party till the wee hours and show up hung over and sleepy and none will care or notice. If you need a job where you don't have anything to do but still get paid, then this is it. Great job for students that need cash and want to study at work or working parents.

Cons

Some Employees are not motivated to do anything but bare minimum which fosters a lazy non creative environment. Some People do not want to learn anything and are not interested in developing themselves.

Advice to Management

Force the employees to take computer classes as the, "Analysts" have never seen a Excel spreadsheet

I have been working at Kaiser Permanente as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

People are all very nice and you can get a lot of support from others. Various networking opportunities within KP and I've got the chance to talk to senior managers.

    Cons

In a large company, it's pretty hard to schedule meetings and put everyone on the same page

I worked at Kaiser Permanente as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

The culture of employee care is not just lip service or a recruiting tactic, they truly care about the balance of employees lives and work.

    Cons

The money at Kaiser is spent strictly on the patient experiences- a GOOD thing- but it makes life a little harder on the administrative side.

    Advice to Management

Invest in updated software and processes and improve your HR processes so that it doesn't take months to bring on new employees. Kaiser loses out of great hires because of the seriously slow HR processes.
