Pros

Amazing people and excellent benefits with 100% of the base cost covered by the company. Remote work. The company is pro-employee and was extremely supportive of employees' health and happiness during the difficult time of the pandemic.

Cons

Working remotely is convenient and my preference, but I do miss spending time in person with coworkers. Kastner's office space is open, accommodating, and fun, and the Playa Vista location offered many options for lunch.

Pros

- The nearby Whole Foods has phenomenal veggie chili. - The few good souls will quickly become your allies and friends, as you’ll be in the trenches battling for survival of any decent creative. - You’ll likely be out the door on time most days, because there’s nothing approved by the global creative team, lending to little output. Unless you have the misfortune of working on a new business pitch. - The Red Bull clients are insightful and are equipped with both production and media expertise. Anything you learn here will be gleaned from yourself and your clients, as there is no agency leadership.

Cons

- Professionalism hasn’t found its way to K&P. - Misogynistic remarks are rewarded. - Harassment and disrespect abounds, and there is no HR department. - Upper management blatantly avoids responsibility and the need for adaptation in order to foster growth. The billing system hasn’t been updated in over a decade. - Lack of true agency vision - Zero digital chops, no potential for non-templated work or original content - Broadcast is limited to flanker spots - Out of touch with current best practices, agency culture and LA tech scene - Misrepresentation of true client roster and capabilities (the award-winning Red Bull work, culture and content is not produced by K&P) - Mr. Kastner does not write emails, uses a flip phone, and does not believe in social media. He approves every piece of (templated) creative that leaves the building. As such, hardly anything actually leaves the building.
