I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great people.
Great products.
Great work environment (if you are in an office position, the field positions can be isolating)
Decent salary

Cons

-If you aren't in an office position you tend to feel isolated from the rest of the company.
-A lot of changes recently with little warning have had a negative affect on employee moral but I feel most of the changes are putting us in a better position for the future
-Not enough transparency into why upper management is making the changes that are being made

Advice to Management

Put programs in place that make it easier for non-office employees to be included in company events/decisions.

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Kellogg Company is over 100 years old and anchored by fun name-branded foods that people everywhere recognize. The company has made significant movement to diversify out of cereal which has added stability and opportunity.

    Cons

A little slow to change and very risk averse.

    Advice to Management

Continue to diversify outside of cereal. Even after the acquisitions of Keebler, Kashi, Gardenburger, Pringles, we have many fewer food products than our competitors. The CEO has committed to double the size of the company and I believe this is important to our success.

I worked at Kellogg Company full-time

    Pros

    Decent pay
    Some professional & nice co-workers
    They support United Way

    Cons

Expect work to be your life, as almost all management expects instant response
Several employees spouses live in other cities & never made the move to Battle Creek as there is nothing to do
    Extreme lack of diversity

    Advice to Management

Take time to really listen to the employee survey and make changes to enter the 21st century.
