I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Fortune 500 company in an stable category. Great people to work with and good work environment. You learn a lot and have some latitude on your hours if you deliver.

Cons

Moving is difficult, work load is heavy and sometimes it seems you are the only one getting your project done. Priorities shuffle and change by the week, sometimes the work relevance is not clear.

Advice to Management

Make decisions, and let people decide, a lot of effort is wasted by not deciding in a timely fashion. Don't let the financial analysts that don't understand the business run the company.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Kellogg Company as an intern (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As a student employee, the starting pay per hour is nice. The factory is also open 24/7 so they work around your school schedule if you live locally.

    Cons

The plant is very hot, very dusty, requires physical labor, and the hours are inconsistent. If you work here as a student try, to get scheduled in the Packing dept. Students get no benefits and are very expendable.

    Advice to Management

Managment is pretty much a joke.

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Traveling. Independence. Work day is usually over by 5 or 6pm during the week. Free cookies and crackers. Co-workers (when you get to actually work with them).

    Cons

Communication from TM's and DTM is very poor at times. Working odd hours on Saturdays. No time for advanced training for movement in the company because of working independently and busy, long hours. Auto reimbursement program, lots of miles put on your own vehicle.

    Advice to Management

Communication, communication. Take the time to train the willing it will pay off for the company in the long run.
