I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Excellent opportunity to advance if you work hard and very people oriented culture. Networking is key, and you are able to have input on high level projects even in individual contributor type roles.

Cons

Too many people in the decision process at times can have a negative impact on ability to make change.

Advice to Management

Embrace change and innovation, some times there are too many managers who like the status quo.

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Time off (personal days and vacation time), free snacks

    Cons

The management has no idea of what it takes to do the job. The way management treats its people is very poor and usually condescending. To work 60 hours per week is not uncommon. The culture locally does not come close to matching up with what the company portrays it to be like.

    Advice to Management

Truly listen and understand your people.....

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Having the ability to write my own schedule to provide some flexibility is helpful as a mom. However, whatever you don't do today will be there later or the next day.

    Cons

As an RSM OneK I work between 55-70 hours a week. It's typical to work about 55 hours a week in the trade and then another 10-15 at home on the computer. Not to mention the responsibility of managing 5 people. So I sell to 21 stores, manage 5 people, sell cereal and snacks. Seriously ere is no time for my family or myself. This job has been sucking the life out of me for the last two years. I have been here for 6 years and it's been getting worse.

    Advice to Management

Think about us little people and our personal obligations. See that k values happen down here at the bottom. Think about us as you continue to get raises while decreasing our pay and increasing our work load.
