I have been working at King Soopers part-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great pay, good people, room for advancement, simple, but not easy work

Cons

No schedule continuity, horrible management, Terrible work/life balance, favoritism, Very bad hours, forced to work holidays and almost every weekend.

Advice to Management

Stop giving promotions to people based on their sexual attractiveness and instead do it based on their performance as a employee

I have been working at King Soopers part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice co-workers, job availability is decent.

    Cons

Hours based off of Seniority, Management is never on the same level, communication is very limited, Benefits are not so good. Not getting paid time and a half for holidays. Very bad at giving requested days off for family emergencies or vacations. Pay is below average. Rude costumers and above all management undermines your decisions when dealing with costumer returns or inquiries.

    Advice to Management

respect the fact that people have lives, emergencies happen that are unforeseen. be more forgiving to people that need some time off unexpectedly. Know your employees better, schedule accordingly.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at King Soopers part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They can have good incentive for students, or at least they used to. They are flexible with student schedules (to an extent). Rate of pay in Deli is a dollar more than anywhere else in store for starters.

    Cons

It will own your life. You will be treated as a pawn, and will receive no recognition for work well done. This used to be an incredible company, but is quickly becoming a horrible place to work. If you need money, you will easily get hired with any amount or lack of qualification, but the same seems to apply to management. The young managers can be a real pain due to lack of experience and professionalism. But, there are worse jobs; just keep the clerk status if you want to keep your job, dept management positions are getting terminated for stupid little mistakes all over the place.
