I have been working at Kmart part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Kmart works with your schedule and vacations and schooling. They also do keep asking if you want to come into work, if they need you. They also recognize you for the work you do.

Cons

Two years, no raise. It would be nice to get a raise once in a while.

    Pros

    Easy job and good co-workers.

    Cons

The managers are horrible and when they have a good manager he is either fired or leaves because of the stress they are under.

I have been working at Kmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For the most part you get flexible hours, working early in the morning you get to avoid all the irrational and rude customers

    Cons

At first you get an adequate amount of hours (I started with 20-30 hours/week part time) but as time went on my position changed and my hours went to a constant 20 hours a week. I took a week off from work because of personal issues and when i returned my hours were cut dramatically to about 10/week. Another employee left for 3 months, came back and got 20-25 hours/week. It seemed unfair and not right but I didn't complain. As time went on I was constantly removed from the schedule completely and had to consistently call HR to tell them I'm not on the schedule. It became very frustrating. Management doesn't seem to be adequate for the most part and my store manager even had the audacity to hang up on me when I told him I could not come in due to a personal issue. It's really an unpleasant job

    Get your scheduling done right
