Approves of CEO

I worked at Kohl's full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Structured Entrepreneurialism. Good people. Trustworthy leadership. Good benefits. Clear path of advancement. Quick promotions if you work hard for it. Managers that listen to feedback.

Cons

A lot of cooks in the kitchen sometimes. A lot of turnover and outside hires coming in. Your happiness depends a great deal on who else is in your office and on your particular team.

Advice to Management

Make sure outside hires understand Kohl's culture and that they are a fit not just from a business standpoint, but a personal once as well.

I have been working at Kohl's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work life balance is okay. Better then most, not as good as others.

    Cons

Hi expectations on customer service and task execution. Dependence on too many others for success.

    Advice to Management

You talk a lot about core values but keep piling on the work load. Everything can't be a priority.

    I worked at Kohl's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    discounts and flexibility; nothing else.

    Cons

As a POS Associate, you are forced to ask for credit and email signups with every. single. customer. And they tell you to ask 3 times even if the customer repeatedly says no. Additionally, Kohl's likes to base your schedule on the amount of emails and credits you obtain which is not fair. Almost every single customer that comes to Kohl's already has one or the other so it's hard to get your numbers up if they've already signed up.

I and so many other employees were only being scheduled for 4 to 10 hours a week.

A POS position is very monotonous. You're doing the exact same thing for your entire shift.

    Advice to Management

Give associates a break. We're treated like machines at the register and we're punished because we can't get people to sign up.

    It's not fair.
