I have been working at Konica Minolta full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Company provides good benefits package, off-site training, reliable hardware you can feel confident in selling.

Cons

Not a team mentality; recent conversion to market verticals has created a divide in the office for accounts. Low base salary with no opportunity to increase. Also, commissions are now based on software/bundles instead of hardware/MFP sales. Biggest hurdle is the NYC market; small business are smarter and can buy copier/printer/fax on the internet or retail (i.e. Staples, OfficeMax) and larger companies have select vendors and they won't venture from leaving. This creates fewer opportunities to sell.

Advice to Management

Management needs to be unified and the message delivered between headquarters/regional/branch managers appears lost in translation. Don't lean on the old, senior reps as they are NOT the future of the company.
