    Proud to be Korn Ferry

    Pros

If you are driven by purpose and having an impact on the world, Korn Ferry will fuel you. DE&I, ESG, leadership, the future of work are just some of the areas Korn Ferry consultants are leading perspective on and supporting clients through. You will learn something new every day. You won’t find colleagues with more passion and talent. The work is intense, but motivating, and our leaders care. Our team works collaboratively. Communicates often. Laughs together. Cares for one another. I’m home.

    Cons

Only the curious, creative and collaborative need apply. This is a flat, non-hierarchical organization. Titles mean nothing. It’s the quality of your work that counts. And everyone at every level works hand in hand. A great place for great talent with great ambition but if you are looking to ‘clock it in’ - think again.

Prepare to be treated poorly and devalued as a professional

    Pros

The name recognition on your resume is the only pro and adding to your network is helpful.

    Cons

I was hired as a contractor for a project that never happened for low pay. Then I was asked to work as a scribe for even lower pay to "network" for other opportunities. Apparently, the only way to get on projects is to network with the right people. When I finally got "discovered" and was asked to get enabled for a client project, I was left to figure things out on my own with very little direction or support. I was ghosted by the contractor supervisor when I sent her emails and treated like I did not exist. I was lied to about how I would be compensated for training and luckily was able to get paid for the hours that I worked. If you are a contractor, you are treated like you have no education or credentials. If you bring in new business or potential leads, you are not compensated or even included in the discussions. I thought working with Korn Ferry would be a career changer and it was one of the worst experiences in my career. I tried to apply for full-time roles and the pay was insulting to work 50-60 hours+ per week. MBA graduates make more than what they are offering for a professional role for someone with extensive expertise. I would not recommend this company to anyone that wants to be paid by market value and experience.
