I worked at Kraft Heinz Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work life balance is good, 22 days off a year is better than most companies. Lots of good people work at Kraft. Company as a whole is doing fairly well. Management makes some effort to advance employees.

    Cons

In an office environment, backstabbing is common. HR gets involved and fires people on a routine basis. HR is very inconsistent with rules as well. Everyone is either afraid of HR or uses HR to backstab other people.

I worked at Kraft Heinz Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Very good lab facilities and highly skilled, competent scientists
    2. Loyal employees

    Cons

    1. Highly qualified, very competent scientist engineers stuck in their career without any promotions for decades. They do not have any clue what is the criterion for the promotion.
    2. It is surprising that Incompetent, insceure control freak managers in the management ladder get promoted., while their reportees are stuck in the same level for decades
    3. Skills and expertise of highly qualified scientists are being undermined.
    4. Managers are more focused on their career, doing upward mangement and less worried about the career growth of their reportees
    5. Some of the scientists are reporting to managers who were once trained by the scientists

    Advice to Management

Revamp your R&D organization. Empower your scientist and engineers. Do not think that a person with BS degree with an MBA can always become a great manager and can manage technology. You need technically competent mangers who can appreciate the technology and research work by the experts. Make the manger responsible for the career growth of their reportees. Do not promote managers if their reportees fail to progress in their career

    Hope changes are coming soon
