Pros

Great People, Great Brands consumers trust. Many opportunities to work across multiple brands and locations. Strong leadership team to mentor individuals

Cons

Kraft Foods is not competitive with salaries in the market place. Many of their peer companies over 20-30% more for the same role. Kraft has lost many strong individuals simply because of salary differences

I have been working at Kraft Heinz Company full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Struggling to come up with a PRO, I am relegated to say "A Paycheck".

    Cons

When Phillip Morris decided to take Kraft “public”, the company underwent a metamorphosis overnight. The once a prosperous culture transformed into stock-focused greedy empire reminiscent of many historical cultures that no longer exist today.

What was once a great company to work for has now become a desolate wasteland of "midwest friendly” ineffective people who justify their existence to feckless leaders. Getting ahead requires a level of political prowess that rivals our Congressional Leaders on capital hill. The harsh reality is Kraft leaders do NOT want good results, they want to feel good about the results. Focusing on “HOW” people work vs. their level of commitment and performance has ruined careers and disenfranchised their most loyal employees.

Like IBM’s decline in the 80’s, Kraft is destined to follow in their footsteps. With a lack of innovation and creativity, Kraft continues to rebrand old ideas, follow industry trends with lackluster results and cater to every customer demand. All companies have one common thread; to satisfy and delight their customers. Kraft consciously walks away from resourcesefulness in favor of squeezing every penny out of it’s supply chain.

With an idealistic belief that their most veteran employees can't affect change, they hire people from the outside to “transform” the company into something only seen in high school textbooks. Lacking any historical perspective, these “implants" are destined to repeat the mistakes of their predacessors and suffer the same fate.

None of this is an indictment on the hard workers in the Wilkes Barre facility, but rather a failure on the part of the Northfield “Mother Ship” to recognize the true value and potential of their most loyal workforce.

Kraft broke its commitment and promise of security to employees in order to satisfy its shareholders!

What a criminal devaluation of people…

    Advice to Management

Move the entire operation in Northfield, IL to a different part of the country. This company desperately needs a fresh start…

I have been working at Kraft Heinz Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great pay, overtime if needed, excellent benefits, union plant.

    Cons

some forced overtime, future of the Chicago plant is uncertain at this time. Some plants have been shutting down since takeover of Mondelez International.

    Advice to Management

take more input from hourly employees.
