Pros

Friendly environment. Plenty of smart people to learn from. Good opportunities to move around the different jobs regardless of your degree. Work flexibility and time off is great! Every other Friday off with 11 holidays plus vacation time

Cons

Lots of layoffs and company mergers. Morale is low due to constant organizational changes. Management changes constantly as well as company priorities

    Pros

Interesting work on a wide variety of projects, good people that know what they are doing. The technical work is advanced and requires thought and effort - the best kind.

    Cons

Layoffs have had a major hit on moral. Those remaining continue to be uncertain. At times the program management have trouble working with the customers to management expectations and requirements creep.

I worked at L-3 Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I got to learn another type of work, manufacturing and operations.

    Cons

Good ol' boy system. Got rid of some really good people during their multiple layoffs (voluntary and unvoluntary). A very ill-ran company.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of HR. Remove yourselves from your positions.
